A legacy of stone and time
The Hotel Juma building is a living testament to Pollença’s evolution. Its original Mallorcan Modernista structure has been carefully preserved and restored to maintain its historic identity while incorporating the amenities of a contemporary hotel.
The soul of stone
The building’s durability lies in the use of high-quality local materials. The listed façade, fully restored in 2020, is defined by its blocks of ‘marès’ stone quarried in local quarries in Porreres, Muro and Cala Sant Vicenç, which give the façade its distinctive colour. Inside, historic structural features such as the cast iron columns sit alongside architectural details that tell the story of its century-long history.
Innovation and modernity (Josep Ferragut)
In 1956, renowned architect Josep Ferragut led a pivotal transformation of the building, bringing it up to date while preserving its family character throughout. Later, in 1997, the interior was fully refurbished to provide modern comforts, culminating in the creation of our rooftop terrace.
The terrace and Pollença’s skyline
The building opens up to the sky on its top floor, where guests can soak in the jacuzzi while taking in sweeping panoramic views. From here, the finest vantage point in the historic centre, you can see the iconic Calvari steps, the Puig de Maria hilltop and monastery and the magnificent Serra de Tramuntana mountains.
